Upgrading to HotDocs 6.1 SP1 Deletes Help Files

After upgrading to HotDocs 6.1 Service Pack 1, nothing happens when you attempt to access the help files.


This problem happens because of a problem in the HotDocs 6.1 SP1 installation. To fix the problem, you can repair the installation.

  1. Close HotDocs and any other applications HotDocs uses, such as the word processor.
  2. From the Start menu, choose Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.
  3. From the list of currently installed programs, choose HotDocs Professional Edition (or HotDocs Standard Edition, depending on which edition you have installed).
  4. Click Change/Remove. The installation program starts, asking if you want to repair or remove HotDocs.
  5. Choose Repair. The installation runs again and installs the correct help files.

You can restart HotDocs and have access to your help files.
