Perfect Script Compiler Errors in WordPerfect 10

From HotDocs Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

When clicking any of the HotDocs buttons in a newly installed version of WordPerfect 10, you receive an error message saying there has been a PerfectScript Compiler error.

This sometimes happens when you've upgraded to WordPerfect 10 from an earlier version of the software, such as WordPerfect 8. In this situation, WordPerfect is trying to access the macros from the older version of the software. This error appears when you click each of the HotDocs buttons for the first time. You have two options:

  • Click the Continue Compilation button. Once you do this for each of the HotDocs buttons, these errors will no longer appear.
  • Delete all of the WordPerfect 8 macros from your machine.
