Problem

When RTF documents are converted to the PDF format using HotDocs Server, images using a CMYK colour format are colored incorrectly in the resulting PDF document.

Solution

Only images that use the RGB color space are supported when coverting RTF documents to PDF using HotDocs Server. If PDF output is desired, any images using CMYK or other color spaces should be converted to RGB before templates are deployed to HotDocs Server.

  1. Convert the relevant source image to the RGB color space using appropriate image editing software, and re-save the image.
  2. Re-insert the image into the HotDocs template.
  3. Save the template and test RTF to PDF conversion in HotDocs Server. The image should now appear correctly.
