HotDocs Closes Unexpectedly When Using the Open or Browse Buttons

Problem

When clicking an Open.gifOpen or Browse.gifBrowse button in HotDocs, HotDocs closes without warning.

Solution

This problem happens when a Group Policy setting is specified that hides drop-down lists of recently used files in Windows Explorer.

To correct the problem, either update HotDocs to HotDocs 2008 SR2, or have your system administrator disable this setting using the Group Policy Editor.
